Bijan Khezri

For more than 20 years, Bijan Khezri has been dedicated to capital markets growth finance, corporate governance and business leadership as a banker, CEO/Chairman and investor across a range of sector-leading companies, public and private, in the UK, USA, Germany and Switzerland.

He is the Founder and Chairman of KCRI (Khezri Capital Research International) AG in Zug, a governance partner and private equity investor.

Bijan is Chairman of the Group Executive Committee and board director of Zug-based Marquard Media International AG, a leading international publisher. He is a board director, investor and advisor of Sportradar AG in Switzerland, the world's leading provider of sports data and analytics. He is the Chairman of the Advisory Board of Sportradar USA. Bijan is a board member and active advisor of Luxembourg-incorporated EEM World, owner and operator of the Longines Masters Paris, New York, and Hong Kong. 

Bijan is Operating Partner of GF Capital Management & Advisors, a New York-based private equity fund dedicated to sector-leading branded media, sports and consumer goods. He is an Industrial Advisor to EQT, one of Europe's leading private equity investors, in Germany and USA. He is a Special Advisor to STJ Advisors in London, a leader in capital markets advisory. 

Bijan built the Equity Capital Markets technology practice of Paribas (now BNP Paribas) in London. Thereafter, for more than six years he was a lead investor and served as a member of the Supervisory Board of Jetter AG, a leader in real-time industrial automation solutions, where he led the company's IPO on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (subsequently Jetter AG was acquired by Bucher Industries AG, Switzerland). As board director and investor of VPNet Technologies, a Silicon Valley-based pioneer of advanced telecommunications technologies, he prepared the grounds for its takeover by Avaya Inc (NYSE-listed). As Chief Executive and then as Executive Chairman, he led the restructuring of FTSE-100 technology conglomerate Baltimore Technologies Plc in London/NASDAQ, and its subsequent asset sale to Hewlett Packard and PwC, respectively. As Chairman of Stan James Plc he led a restructuring process to reposition the family business as one of the UK's leading sports businesses, and subsequently acted as sole financial advisor to the family owners selling the business to Sweden's publicly listed UB Group.

He played a central role in co-founding and funding a number of innovation-driven businesses. His passion for art led him to grow as an investor and CEO/Vice-Chairman the Artist Pension Trust into one of the world's largest contemporary art collections.

Bijan studied law at Bonn University and graduated from the Institut de Hautes Etudes Internationales (University of Geneva). He is enrolled in the PhD program in Management at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

He has extensively published in the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times and other leading publications for more than two decades (Selected Publications). He is the book author of 'Generation Dubai: Exit, Voice, and Loyalty'. He was the Founder & Chairman of the European Youth Conference in the European Parliament.

Bijan Khezri is an approved individual of the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom.
